Goning fishing this afternoon from Ninilchik!

This picture taken at Homer Spit. This shows Halibut like we are going after this afternoon. They are in the flounder family and get up to 400 pounds. The largest in this picture is 63 pounds.
At Ninilchik they launch the boats from the beach (rocky), using a log skidder. What a wonderful use for a log skidder and I do not have to worry about where it has been!
This is the actual boat we will be going out on as they took it out yesterday.
The Captain came up on the trailer very quickly and the skidder pulled it out of the water. About a minute to get it up on the beach!
