7/11 On to Fairbanks

The pictures end up out of order but they exist! This is a picture of Jake and Linda on the River at the back of the Campground in Fairbanks. Note: This is 10:30 pm July 4th. Note the sun above the trees, I normally do not take photos into the sun, but I wanted to show the sun. Official sunset that date was 12:33 am! Sunrise 3;18 am! However, it never gets dark, more like twilight. We have had no trouble going to bed before dark because we are ready for rest! It is sometimes hard to sleep in the morning as it is very bright very early, but we are learning that also. Most often a bathroom call wakes you early because your body is on the time zone you came out of yesterday! We are now in Alaska time zone which is 4 hours earlier than Eastern!

I purchased some cheap clippers at home and finally talked Barbara into a hair cut. She did the best she knew how, but we had to trim again the next day. I think the both of us have it down pat now! Clippers cost less than one hair cut!

This is the end of the Alaska Highway at Delta Junction. Proof that we drove the total 1422 miles of the highway. We are now about 5,900 mile from home.
