The last for this trip.

Blackie sez, "Issy you see that robin? Issy said "I see two"!
Well, I am going to get me something to eat!
This is the approximate route taken in the motor home. We also had side trips in the car. The total mileage in the motor home was 10,700 plus some. We towed the car the total distance and also drove it at least another 1,000 miles. A wonderful trip, but it was good to get home

The recreated pilgrim's villige at Pilmouth Plantation.

This is the overview taken from the two story structure on the up hill side. (below)
The second story contained the cannons to protect the village.
Downstairs was the worship area, this was the pulpit from which Mr Brewster gave his sermons. Although he was not a preacher, he was their spiritual leader.
Note that each family had a house and a fenced in area in which to grow vegetables and have some livestock.

More of the native village.

The framework start of a hut.
The squaw was getting ready to cook some fish over the five.
A inside view of the large hut, this would be used by a family. The sides are Yellow Poplar bark.
The making of a canoe. They burn out the insides rather then cut them out. They may have lacked the tools to cut out the insides early on.

We visit Plimouth Plantation.

This is the entrance. Note that Plimouth was spelled with an "i", the spelling using a "y" is the town spelling.
The visitors center.
A recreation of a native house (Indian).
Note the garden has been planted. The mound do have fish under them and corn planted on them. However, there is a modern addition, note the chicken wire over each mound to help keep animals from digging up the fish. In the background is a large family house, an inside picture is forth coming.

We stay at the Scusset Beach State Reservation on Cape Cod Canal.

An ocean going ship entering the canal from Cape Cod Bay.
Look what I caught! Actually I only caught it with the camera. Note the length compared with my #13 shoe, this striper is about 30 lbs.
Actually the guy on the left caught the fish, and the one on the right helped land it. This was at the mouth of the canal in the state park.
A sunset looking north along the beach back towards Plymouth.

At the end of Cape Cod is Provincetown, MA

A downtown street in Provincetown.
The beach near Province Lands.
The race point lighthouse.
The Pilgrim's Monument built in 1910 in Provincetown. I did not get the details but I suspect it is about 300+ feet high.

The Mayflower, II.

There she blows!
One side of the mess (kitchen).
The other side with the cook's hammock for sleeping.
Each family had an area about this size assigned to them.

We check out Plymouth and the Mayflower.

Part of downtown Plymouth, MA. Note this is Brewster Street that was named after my kin that came over on the Mayflower. Since I found out about Mr. Brewster I have been telling people, "you have always thought that I fell off the boat, see here, I came over on the boat!"
Note that the Brewsters were from Nottinghamshire.
The Famous place!
This is the name of the park where the Mayflower, II is docked, pictures coming up.
