When we left Hannibal we spent the night in Oxford, IA. Then on to Marshalltown, IA where we visited 2 days with Jake and Linda's friends Don and Yasoyo Smith. Had tornado warning the last afternoon, but did not even get any rain, thankfully.Left Marshalltown on morning of June 8th. Stopped off in Forest City, IA to visit the Winnibago RV factory. Photo above is on of the early 1967 models. Times have changed as that model sold for less than $7,000 new! Stayed that night in Jackson, MN.
On June 9th we traveled to Mitchell. SD and toured the Corn Palace. Above picture is an inside shot. Pictures are all made with corn on the cob!
This is the out side, it is changed every year in the fall. Some has been removed because of winter damage, new theme will be added this fall.
This is an old gold mimer that Barbara sat down with in Mitchell!
