We continue northward.

Two beautiful shots taken by the copilot through the windsheald

Moutain goats along side the road.
For you forestry types this is a picture of Lodge Pole Pine that has been killed by the Mountain Pine Beetle. Most of the LPP in the south and west of British Columbia is dead! Environmental groups prevented the early salvage and control logging needed to hopefully control the beetle. Now they are crying "do something" and it is too late! The infestation has also spred into western Alberta. Some salvage has been done but very little. There was several hundred miles where there appears to be no live pines.
