Spring Hope Christmas 2010

This gave us a thrill! It is the first time tht Blacky
and Izzy every decided to sleep in the same chair together.
It must be the Christmas spirit.

This is what our yard Christmas tree looked like on 12/26 after 7.5 inches of snow.
This snow started at 7pm on Christmas day and it snowed until 1pm on 12/26.
We ended up with 11 inches on the ground. This is the first time Barbara and
I have experienced a White Christmas, ever, and ever is becoming a long time!

Looking east across our and neighbor's front yards.

The front yard and the house across the street. In the center
is the yard Christmas tree again.

Home again!

The cats seem to like our travels, but it is always good to get home.
So Blackie sez!

Izzy seconds that.

Our Spring Hope Pumkin Festival is always the first weekend of October.

This fellow is getting a cheap high!

Fall color just starting to show in PA

Pictures not too bad considering Barbara is taking them
through the windshield at 65 MPH on the Interstate highway.

Note that the traffic is very light this morning out in the countryside.

Freeport, Maine

The boats of the Freeport wharf.

The group finishes up Lobster in Freeport, this is the third
time we had them on the trip. Wish I had some more now!

Barbara has just learned to love mussels.
Next time I guess I will have to order enough for both of us!

Jake likes them too, but not Linda!

The unique Freeport, Maine McDonalds

Freeport would not allow the typical McDonalds so they remodeled
an old house and added to it. It fits like a glove!

We had to have ice cream for dessert after earlier Lobster and Mussels.

The fireplace, fake logs.

The drive-in windows.

Confederation Bridge from PEI to NB

Part of the 8 mile ride.

We had to pay the $56.50 CD bridge toll to get off.
The ferry to get on was free, but would have cost $108 CD to get off!
They say they do not charge to get on as they want you to stay!

Across we go!

The ship's channel crossing. We spent an extra day on PEI
as high profile vehicles were prohibited the most of the day
before due to high winds on the backside of Hurricane Igor.

Since we missed the last ferry by one vehicle, we are first in line for this one!
The Baum's are waiting on PEI

After a 14 mile, 45 minute ride, and a hour wait to get on, we are in sight of Prince Edward Island!
